Dipped in a sweet, salty, and yummy sauce made of Japanese Soy Sauce and Oyster Essence Sauce, these double-fried chicken wings are very addictive and will surely be an excellent snack or appetiser when entertaining family and friends.

Potato starch

Cooking oil (for frying)

Cooking oil (for stir fry)
1 tsp
Minced ginger
1 tbsp
Minced garlic

Sesame seed

Spring onions

Hamadaya Japanese Soy Sauce
2 tbsp
Water
1 tbsp
Honey
1 ½ tbsp
Brown Sugar
2 tsp
Vinegar
¼ tsp
Black pepper
1 tsp
Garlic powder
1 tsp
Ginger juice
1 tbsp
Hamadaya Japanese Oyster Essence Sauce
1 tbsp
Hamadaya Japanese Soy Sauce
1. Combine all sauce ingredients. Mix well.
2. Marinate chicken wings with marinade ingredients. Set aside for 1 hour.
3. Coat chicken wings with potato starch.
4. Preheat cooking oil in a pan over medium heat. Deep fry chicken wings. Raise oil temperature. Double fry chicken wings until golden brown.
5. In a wok, add in cooking oil, sauté minced ginger and garlic until fragrant.
6. Add in sauce mixture, boil until sauce thickens. Coat chicken wings with sauce.
7. Garnish with sesame seed and spring onions. Serve hot.
